Eff. One of my besties, Stacy, shared this blog on her facebook page. Now I have to keep blogging.I’ll also have to sort through my 2k spam comments about Louis Vuitton, sexy webcams and SEO. (I’m really lazy adept at avoiding stress.)
I am picky about pretty light on food. But my husband gets home from work/Crossfit at 7:30 each night, so I always seem to cook and eat in the dark. Good thing summer is coming! I’ll get rid of my winter rash and have a tan and all will be right with the world. (Even a Skintervention couldn’t fix my winter skin.)
I also hurt my wrist RXing all the Crossfit open workouts twice… FYI, you need a good wrist for Crossfit AND yoga. And I have a cold. I’ve pretty much been in my house feeling sorry for myself all week. My friend offered to make me pho, but somehow I ended up making her a fried pork chop and Cheeseslave’s brown butter carrot puree (which is the best thing in this whole world btw.)
She liked it. (her pic)

/complainy aimee. Here’s a random picture of my kid on Easter.

I never formally announced not being in business anymore. I took my contact info down and was waiting until I had delivered all my outstanding (meaning totes amazeballs, of course) orders. But I somehow ended up with an amazing job last year and I got sidetracked.
I took pictures of a lot of yummy food. And then I got to take half home with me.
Somehow, I now live in some weird universe where I am the only I know NOT a hugely successful cookbook writer (okay, hyperbole. kind of.)
Anyway, I did this with them. And this blog is probably going to get a lot more food focused. And personal. Since human clients are no longer my bag. I am also going to revert back to my normal way of writing–which uses a lot of ellipses and parentheses. Also, I don’t always use my Big Nikon. Usually, it’s just my iPhone.
Tonight I ate this…

Scared away yet?

Last year, I did bunny ears. This year… creeptastic lamb masks! These were taken in between the Easter egg hunt and the pinata (I broke it this year! ME!) at our Aunt’s house.

I did get a nice one too!

“Elegance does not consist in putting on a new dress.” – Coco Chanel
Delilah in my handmade and restored vintage gown. circa 1968. I wore it in 2005.
This is an excellent an idea for a special session for your own daughter.

What a gorgeous day for a walk! My daughter and I had fun finding evidence of Spring along our journey–she is a total sucker for leaves, flowers, sticks etc.

I love photographing people, but I also adore photographing Things. I will settle down next to any pretty item (an egg, a snow globe, a coffee mug) in my home and just take photos of it from different angles. It’s nice having complete control and not having to get anyone’s attention sometimes–I usually get put on “details” duty at weddings as well. I really adore the little things. And I would love to start sharing that area of my art here as well.
This is a charm necklace from Etsy, based on The Hunger Games books. Now I am all ready for the midnight movie in March! I have a new shirt as well. Nerd Alert!

Taking photos of children that have had a big camera in their face since birth can be a struggle. I set aside the entire week before birthdays for portrait attempts because I know I will only get 5 minutes each time I dress her up. I took these over 3 days–there was much tears and begging and pleading and bribes involved.
And now I have to worry about Christmas portraits! The almost-two year old is even harder to bribe!

I love fall, but we seem to be surrounded by coniferous trees, so I laid her down under the one tiny tree that changes color. Now it looks like fall!
