I got to meet this amazingly beautiful little 7lb angel a couple weeks ago. She was a great sleeper and loved having her tiny hand in one special spot. Whenever she smelled that hand, she remembered how *hungry* she was. Her mama had to nurse a lot during our session, but it made for a very happy little girl.
I loved getting to meet her proud big sister as well.

I had the biggest honor of my life this past week when I was able to photograph Baby E’s entrance into this world. S had him at home and was a rockstar the entire time. I got to the house at around 4 and he was born within the hour! And she was able to pleasantly greet me when I got there. Much different than my two homebirths which felt like they took a million years!
my favorite moment was when S’s 4 year old daughter made her way into the bathroom where S was laboring. I followed in case she disturbed her mother who was in the midst of a big contraction. But she just wrapped her arms around her mama and the midwife and the three of them swayed through the very long contraction. I must admit I got a little teary. (Who am I kidding!? I cried the whole time!) I’m a big believer in young girls knowing about birth from a very young age. Birth always makes me feel at one with other women. I love that my two year old saw her brother born.
Congratulations S Family! He is a gorgeous little boy!
