I had the privilege of working with Jewel Hair Design, Le Mariee Makeup Artistry, and Scott Henderson last week to help Julie Flury of Jewel Hair Design debut her new hair designer, Kirsten Eike. I even got to model a bit myself AND got into my wedding dress after 5 years (w00t!)

It was amazing being pampered for the shoot. I cannot stress enough the value of hair and makeup being done professionally before you get in front of the camera. I would love to offer it for new moms who wish to be in portraits with their newborns!

My friend, Michelle, and I had so much fun modeling for each other that we decided to recruit more ~~victims~~ beautiful, willing subjects. This is Michelle’s sister. We planned outfits out for her and took her out on the town. And we had so much fun!

I also took some portraits with film, so I can’t wait to package up that roll and see what else I got!

I found this shirt at Goodwill. I laughed because it matches Michelle’s logo colors!

Wooosh!!! I adore this alleyway in Leesburg. It’s mah place!

I tricked her into a really happy looking pose. Because I am hilarious.

This tunic was found at Goodwill also. We had one more “look” that we didn’t get to since the darkness snuck up on us quickly!

So, my friend, Michelle, is awesome. And she is going to be starting her business soon! We went out on the town in Leesburg to take a few photos for our websites. We both would love to shoot some preteens/high school seniors/engaged couples/models… People who follow direction! So we practiced our best model moves and Tyra fierceness in alleys and doorways and parking garages.

She is so much better at posing than me and it was easy to make her look like a totally hawt mama. I love that she is amazing at posing because now I look like I am amazing at directing! I think she may have taken Delilah’s place as my muse.
