Suburbs Angst | Northern VA Photographer

I really wanted to get some pretty, fall portraits of my daughter today without having to go any farther than a short walk. I hate that anyway I put the camera in my neighborhood there is a car, house, mailbox. No little parks or paths at all. There is a gorgeous tree on the other side of my street. So I hoped I could get her to sit just so that there wouldn’t be any distractions in the frame. I hate manipulating environment in Photoshop, so I always try and get a perfect composition straight out of the camera. I used my Lensbaby just to add to my odds of blurring out any houses. Well, my almost-three year old would not sit where I wanted or sit long enough for me to manually focus, so I took what I could get. I hope I can use the Lensbaby this week for her three year old portraits in an actual park with a pretty, “rural” background.

PS: She picked out her own hat. :-p
